Growing up in Cleveland, it was...Veddy interesting. Growing up in Cleveland, it was "pop." Then I became a "soda" guy during my prep-school years in New England. And "soda" I remained through my days in Arizona, Illinois, and NYC. So it was a strange bit of nostalgia to hear Portlanders use "pop." I stuck with "soda," though, figuring there was no going back at that point. (And I simply refuse to say "spendy.")<BR/><BR/>Another weird Portland-induced flashback was all the buckeye trees in my neighborhood there. The buckeye, as you may know, is the state tree of Ohio.<BR/><BR/>Re your earlier post about the Mets, it looks like I'm back to being a Cleveland fan for now. Go Tribe!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
